My family and I are now back from the Feast of Tabernacles in Brisbane, Australia. It was nice to see renew acquaintances of people from Australia, New Zealand, and Canada that we met before as well as to finally meet people we only knew from emails. The Feast went well there.
We have received reports from many of our other sites.
Adao de Amorim sent the following related to the festival in Brazil:
Ao todo ser reuniram 70 pessoas no Brasil pra Festa dos Tabernáculos
(In total, 70 people gathered in Brazil for the Feast of Tabernacles.)
Those in Brazil had a Protestant background and have come with us since July 2025.
Joe Lumpay sent the following from the Philippines:
Dear Dr. Thiel,
I am happy to report to you the success of our Feast of Tabernacles celebration. The closeness and joy of two families being together in one roof, one mind and spirit radiated from within us.
This is proof that true happiness and joy in celebrating God’s Feast go far beyond considerations of luxury and material comfort.
Yes, this Feast may have been the least luxurious compared with our previous Feasts. Nevertheless, the benefit of close fellowship and togetherness was clearly highlighted by the presence of our Singaporean brother, Mr. Eng Chew Ling, whose sense of humor graced the occasion and brought intermittent laughter during our fellowship.
Yes, we were truly blessed to have him with us—not merely as a guest, but as our own brother in Christ.
Most importantly, his kindness and generosity transcend words. We are deeply thankful for his presence and for the wonderful fellowship we shared with him.
Attached is our group picture taken on the Last Great Day.Warm regards,
Joe
Deacon Koang Deng sent the following two reports related to two sites:
Dear Elders,
This is a day we passed our happiness and thanks to our office of Head quarters for it’s update on church growth in this end time.
Now, the celebration of feasts also goes well now in Ethiopia, but the repeated attacks on passengers was also prevented us not to reach the feasts site this year.
Upto now, we have no any signs of peace in Gambella, and moving in the town also restricted and now no any passengers to come in and go outside of the region.
And after this communal war broke out between the tribes, and the only way to getting of those of our brothers, is only to communicated with them through phone.
Please pray for the peace of Ethiopia, because our country turns inter in war again. … Koang Deng
Dear Dr. Bob,
This is a report I have received from our members in Luandong camp.
And said that, the feasts of Tabernacles and Last Great Day goes well.
They were also send you their happiness for the good help you are doing as well for us, and without this help, nothing will be possible.
Thanks you,
Koang
Those in Ethiopia who are with us had a CG7 background and only started to keep the Feast of Tabernacles after coming with the CCOG.
Pastor Radson Mulozowa sent several photos (one below) with the following report:
Greetings from Malawi and Mozambique
Let me report that the feast of Tabernacle went well in all our centres and we have enjoyed the feast
During the feast we experienced heavy rainfall and lack of fuel in our country which was a great challenge this morning for brethren to go back to their houses
But by the grace of God all the brethren were able to reach home safely
How was your feast
Best regards
Radson
Moise sent the following report:
Dear Pastor and Overseer Dr Bob Thiel ,
Greetings from Rwanda and Congo .
I’m pleased to let you know that the Feast of Tabernacles went well in Rwanda and Congo . Attached is a photo sent by brother Mapendo Moïse from the city of Goma and they are standing in front of the Continuing Church of God house where they worship in Congo/ Goma city.
In particular , for those of us who traveled to Kenya we are very grateful to the Kenyan brethren because of brotherly love they have and for the way they welcomed us and for the knowledge they shared with us from the Holy Scriptures , especially regarding prophetic teachings . We are greatly appreciate the hymn books they gave us and the way they accompanied and supported us throughout our stay. Therefore , all of us in Rwanda , Congo and Uganda have now returned safely to our homes and are at peace .
Best Regards ,
Moïse.
Evangelist Evans Ochieng sent several photos (one below) with the following report:
Pastor Dr Bob,
Greetings from Kenya.
It’s my happiness and pleasure to thank continuing church of God in supporting the feast of Tabernacles 2026 in Africa. I’ve received many positive massages and calls that the feast of Tabernacles went well and enjoyable throughout the week. I attended three feast sites during the days of the feast. The first three days I I was in Ndhiwa. On Wednesday I went to Got kachola to be with our brethren in Got kachola feast site.
On Thursday I was in kisii. All the sites were enjoyable. We had visitors from outside Kenya.
We had people from Congo, from Rwanda and from Uganda. My daughters came various institutes to attend the feast of Tabernacles 2026.
Our brethren from outside Kenya were vey excited to be in Kenya.
Evans
Here is a report from Aaron Joel who attended in Kenya from Uganda:
Dear Pastor,
Kindly receive this update that on the afternoon of 09/23/2026, my family and I left Soroti(Uganda) for the F.O.T and safely reached Sigama village in Ndiwa(Kenya) on the next day afternoon.
On the 15th day of the Seventh month(Hebrew calendar) and at its appointed time, the Opening Night surmon was given by Evangelist Evans Ochieng in which he pointed out why the FOT should be kept by Christians today since it will also be kept even after Jesus returns.
On the FIRST DAY of the FOT, in a surmonet given by pastor Moise(of Rwanda), we learned that Christians should always continue to be thankful to God. The surmon of the day was given by brother(elder) Lucas Ogada who explained the need for church today to pay attention to prophecy. He also mentioned the incident in Luke 9:8-36 ass one with a prophetic ramifications(how it, for a short time, gives a glimpse of the coming kingdom of God) We also had a time for offertory and in the evening, Evangelist Evans Ochieng explained in detail how all the Holy Days of are still relevant today and why they should be kept.
On the SECOND DAY , Pastor Ezekiel (of Congo) was inspired by God to give a surmonet about Who are the people to inherit the coming kingdom of God? and How many people will inherit it ? The surmon of the day was given by pastor Moise of Rwanda who taught about the truth in Luke 11:11-13. In the afternoon, Aaron Joel (of Uganda) taught Introduction to prophecy in which he pointed out the duality of prophecy, prophetic time lapse, prophetic symbols, Bible’s position on true prophets of God and the kind of life they lived.
On the THIRD DAY, Pastor Andrew Jachong discussed about the REWARD that God will give to Christians who endure UPTO the end. While the surmon was from Aaron Joel(from Uganda) who taught about the 6000/7000 year plan of God. Later in the afternoon, he continued with explaining the 2,300 evenings and mornings sacrifices which will be stopped by the Little horn of Daniel 8 during the last 1,150 days immediately prior to Christ’s return.
While giving a surmonet on the FOURTH DAY, Evangelist Evans Ochieng taught about the Christians being the Ambassadors of the coming kingdom of God and what exactly is ment by being an ambassador. Later, he announced that we will visit some of the brethren celebrating the feast from different areas. The surmon of the day was given out by brother Bradox Ochieng who explained about what the elect should do (in light of Isaiah 40:31) In the afternoon, Aaron Joel (from Uganda) spoke about why the church should pay attention to Prophecy, the coming Tribulation and God’s promise of protecting the Philadelphian Church (Ccog is it’s remnant).
On the FIFTH DAY, we went to visit our brethren celebrating the Feast in Got Kachola and Aaron Joel (of Uganda ) taught about God’s plan highlighted by the currently recurring SEVEN DAYS OF THE WEEK, how to evaluate prophecy, and also what to watch today (Mark 13:37) On our way back, we passed through Sori town and had a good view of Lake Victoria. Some of those who went to Got Kachola include; Evans Ochieng, Bradox Ochieng, Moise(of Rwanda), Ezekiel(of Goma,DRC), Aaron Joel of Uganda and his wife and son.
The SIXTH DAY involved a visit to our fellow saints gathered in Kiisi in which we found one among them teaching against the concept of Trinity. Later, Aaron Joel (of Uganda) taught about the SEVENTY WEEKS OF THE DESOLATIONS OF JERUSALEM as in Daniel 9:2,25 then we departed.
On the SEVENTH DAY, the Last Day of the feast, through a surmonet by Pastor Ezekiel (of Goma DRC), we learned about the benefits of celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles. Later, Pastor Moise (of Rwanda) gave a surmon in light of Matthew 22:1-4 and Ephesians 5:31-32.
On the EIGHTH DAY, the Last Great Day, Pastor Ezekiel (of Congo) gave a surmonet about the importance of the Last Great Day, then we also had a time for offerings and later a surmon by Evangelist Evans Ochieng explaining in detail God’s plan pictured by the Last Great Day we celebrate today.
Generally, the Feast of Tabernacles went well , as all members were happy as we shared both the Word of God and food with joy. There was a lot of teaching and learning of God’s Word. As much as I taught , I also learned a lot as men of God spoke.
What we would have faced as problems would be: Crossing the Uganda-Kenya border involving Ezekiel, my wife and son but we thank God that we were able to get a solution even without bothering Evans. Therefore , we were able to cross the border and celebrate the Feast. Secondly, language barrier but that too was solved by God who provided for us brethren who could understand and translate English, Kiswahili and Luo at the same time (My thanks go to Wycliffe, Bradox,Jacob , Otieno,Obote, and Grant on for the work done). Thirdly, one of our elder(brother) Lucas Ogada fell sick and was bed ridden on the afternoon of the THIRD DAY but we prayed to God to heal him he got fine and continued to attend the feast throughout until we said bye bye to each other on the day after the Last Great Day.
With the help of pastor Evans Ochieng, we traveled back and reached home safely last evening(at 11:45pm). I thank God for enabling us to attend this year’s FOT and we pray and desire to keep all the future feasts since there not so many left before Jesus returns.
May God, Creator of Heaven and Earth, continue to bless you and may God always lead and protect the Ccog.
Also my greetings to your family and brethren there.
Thank you.
Also over in Kenya, Ezekiel Oanda reported that he baptized 6 people during the Feast of Tabernacles. On Monday, he was also able to meet with two new small groups that have possible interest in becoming part of the Continuing Church of God.
BBS
In addition to radio as well as my often being a podcast guest, we are also on a podcast channel:
This is over their Faith Network:
The time is scheduled to be 1:30pm to 1:45PM CST on Saturday, then it is to be repeated 1:46pm to 2pm Sunday.
Baptist Broadcasting Service (BBS) is a way for us to reach Baptists and Protestants that we otherwise would not reach.
Here is a report from them related to how our podcast (which is normally our weekly sermonette video) is doing:
So, this is another ‘door’ we are utilizing to reach people with the truth of the gospel of the kingdom of God.
The Gospel in Russian
Joan Galloway sent the following:
This quarter a Russian Gospel of the Kingdom of God book was published.
There’s also a few new Gospel of the Kingdom of God books in other languages in the process of being published… such as… Assamese (an Indian Language), Armenian, Greek, Arabic,
We continue to succeed in getting the good news of the kingdom of God to more nations/languages as a witness (Matthew 24:14) as we prepare for the short work of Romans 9:28 (see also Preparing for the ‘Short Work’ and The Famine of the Word).
A Future King of the South
(COGwriter directed illustration)
The recommended sermon for this Sabbath is:
In it, I go over a few points that no other Church of God (COG) seems to fully teach (including several points that some fully or partially teach).
Specifically I have taught (most of which began to be espoused prior to the formation of the Continuing Church of God as a separate entity):
There has to be a future King of the South as the “appointed time of the end” (Daniel 11:40) has not happened yet, nor did it happen over 90 years when Benito Mussolini temporarily conquered Ethiopia.
Daniel 11:24 refers to WWI, WWII, and the coming WWIII and looks to also have relevance related to the Middle East and North Africa, which could be called WWIV.
Iran, which is basically east of Jerusalem, is not the King of the South. PCG insists on this, a few others (including in a UCG document from a leader now in COGWA and ICG‘s Mark Armstrong) have speculated that it could be. While Iran is NOT the coming King of the South, it may at least partially support it. UCG has also pointed to Egypt or other Muslim lands.
The term Ethiopia is not in Daniel 11:43. The actual word is Cushim, which refers to dark skinned peoples such as in Sudan and Ethiopia, hence the nation of Ethiopia is not clearly identified.
That the Imam Mahdi that Muslim prophecy points to looks to be the biblical King of the South. Several COGs recognize the possibility, though none seem to have gone into as much detail as the CCOG has–see also our free eBook: Islamic and Biblical Prophecies for the 21st Century.
The King of the South will use Arabic and possibly be from Egypt. Arabic is the main language of Muslims in North Africa and the Middle East. Ezekiel 30, as well as the old Radio Church of God, points to a coming leader in Egypt, but Daniel 11 is not completely specific, though it does directly mention Egypt.
The King of the South will have “a very great and mighty army” as Daniel 11:25 teaches. Other groups do not seem to tie that verse specifically in with the final King of the South, though some may imply that.
The proper sequence of Daniel 11:39-43 (see also Commentary on the Book of Daniel), with the Great Tribulation beginning with Daniel 11:39. LCG and many other groups have this wrong, despite the late John Ogwyn (in 2004), Richard Ames, and Roderick Meredith all agreeing with me. Plus, Dr. Meredith stated on December 16, 2011 that he would have LCG’s statement of beliefs changed by the end of January 2012 to reflect this (see also December 2011 Proposed changes to LCG’s Official Statement of Fundamental Beliefs)–but that still has not happened.
Related to point 8 in the list, unless other COG groups will accept that the Great Tribulation begins with Daniel 11:39 and not 11:40, they will NOT know when the Great Tribulation will begin until after it starts. Therefore, those with them will not have possibly fled to a place of protection in the wilderness as taught in Revelation 12:14-16 for 3 1/2 years–but instead will be subject to the devil’s wrath per Revelation 12:17.
In a previous Letter last month (see Letter to the Brethren: September 3, 2026), I went over differences related to the coming 666 European King of the North Beast power.
God will use one man to issue the decree to flee, and the most faithful are told to be gathered together before that happens per Zephaniah 2:1-3.
Would that man not be in the church with the best prophetic understandings?
If you have not already done so, should you not gather together and support the work of that church?
Suggested Sabbath Service
Here is a suggested Sabbath day service for our scattered brethren and other interested people:
2-3 hymns (our songbook, The Bible Hymnal, contains the materials from the 1974 Bible Hymnal from the old WCG with new covers, plus ten additional hymns; there is also some Choral Accompaniment online).
Note: If you have a slow internet connection, you can watch these by starting the video, then below it (and towards the right) look for an outline of a gear–if you click on that, it will allow the YouTube video to be played with lower video quality, but at least it will not stop often–you can select a quality as low as 144p. If your internet connection is still too slow (as my home one is) and/or you prefer audio messages to audio-visuals ones, go to the YouTube link for the message, click on SHOW MORE related to the description. You will then see something that says, “Download MP3.” Below that is a link to an MP3 file. Most computers (and even some cellular telephones) will allow MP3 files to be downloaded and played. This is an option we have made available (but we are also looking into ways to improve that as well)–and, of course, we have written article options. Some people have found that if their internet connections are not fast enough, that they can simply listen to the messages that are found at the Bible News Prophecy online radio channel.
IN CASE YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A ‘LETTER TO THE BRETHREN’ FOR ANY WEEK, REMEMBER THAT THERE ARE MANY SERMON MESSAGES ON THE ContinuingCOG channel AND MANY SERMONETTE MESSAGES ON THE Bible News Prophecy channel. There are also some messages at the CCOGAfrica channel. There are also messages in the Spanish language at the CDLIDDSermones channel.
World News Items
Since July 18, 2019, I warned “Actually, the USA has no real intention to pay back its debt. Its leaders basically hope to not pay it back, but if some payment is needed they hope that it will be in inflated dollars worth less than what the USA borrowed” (Thiel B. Bonner: Inflation Will Dominate the Next Five Years. COGwriter, July 18, 2019). Last Thursday, Donald Trump asserted that inflation is a way to supposedly pay off the USA’s massive debt (see Donald Trump asserts inflation can pay off USA’s $40 trillion debt very rapidly).
Concluding Comments
While we had thousands attend at our approximately three dozen Feast of Tabernacles’ sites around the world this month, not all who should have attended, did attend.
Whether or not you attended in 2026, you should plan and resolve to attend in 2027 if at all possible. The Apostle Paul wrote:
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:23-25)
21 I must by all means keep this coming feast in Jerusalem; but I will return again to you, God willing (Acts 18:21).
Will YOU try to insure that BY ALL MEANS you will keep the coming Feast of Tabernacles next year as we see the day approaching?
It is good for you to do so.
Do not convince yourself that it is fine that you do not personally attend. Seek first the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33) and make your plans.
The Feast of Tabernacles begins at sunset on October 15th and runs through (including the Last Great Day) sunset October 23rd in 2027.
Plan to attend! You should not wait until next Fall to plan to do so.
